From the very first session of THRIVE 2026, the focus was crystal clear – helping people make well-informed decisions, to unlock their financial potential and create a better life.
Managing Director Gareth Croy opened the day by laying out the foundations of everything we do for our clients: we ask them, what is it you’re trying to achieve?

The conversation quickly moved beyond numbers. It centred on direction. How much do you need, what are you building towards, what’s the strategy to move you forward, is there more than one way to get there? Our core focus was to convey that there is a huge difference between just chasing figures and building a life that feels right.
Throughout the day, one message kept resurfacing: structure matters.
Bodie Simpson, Director of Accounting at Your Future Strategy, spoke about business entities, superannuation, investment bonds and asset protection. Not as isolated tools, but as parts of one coordinated plan. If the foundation is wrong, everything built on top becomes harder than it needs to be.

Simon Podger, Director of Lending at Your Future Strategy, unpacked lending in practical terms. How credit applications are assessed. What impacts borrowing capacity. What you can influence and what you cannot.
Financial Adviser Tanya Hoynes addressed protection. Where gaps usually sit. How insurance needs are properly calculated. Growth without protection is fragile.
Lisa Croy, Principal at Croy Legal, introduced the legal lens. Wills, powers of attorney and testamentary trusts - a strong reminder that estate planning is not something to leave until later. If you are building wealth, you need a plan for it now.

After lunch we tackled investments in more detail. Daniel Rickard, Director of Private Wealth at Your Future Strategy, covered portfolio construction. Time horizons. Diversification. Behaviour risk. Staying invested long enough for growth to work. He also discussed alternatives such as gold and bitcoin in context, explaining where they fit and where they do not.
Financial Advisers Brody Flew and Callum van Megen from Your Future Strategy clarified the role of defensive and growth investments. Different purposes. Different expectations. Both necessary.
Property was, as expected, a strong point of interest. Trent Cripps, Director of Property Strategy at Sevenfold Property Group, spoke about residential property and the importance of getting the first investment right.

Nick Selbie, Director at Sevenfold Commercial & Advisory, followed up this session by providing an insight into commercial property, for those already tapped out of the residential market. The differences, the risks, and why commercial can make sense within the right overall strategy.
Across all sessions, the common thread was alignment.
Business structure.
Investments.
Super.
Lending.
Protection.
Estate planning.
Each can operate on its own. But when they are aligned, and all focused on your goals, decisions become clearer and more intentional.
What stood out to us was the quality of the questions from everyone in the room. Thoughtful, challenging and specific, it was clear that no-one was there for surface level answers.

The conversations spilled over into the bar afterwards, with more than a third of guests staying behind for a drink and conversations with the speakers and our wider team, working through even more powerful and insightful conversations.
Everyone from the day would have taken home at least one golden nugget of information, to add to the framework they had created throughout the day that they could begin applying immediately.
To everyone who attended, thank you. Your willingness to lean in made the day what it was.
THRIVE was created to bring the right professionals and the right conversations into one room, for everyone looking for more from life.
So, when you’re ready to unlock your financial potential and thrive – let’s talk.
