Five Minutes With…
Trent, we know you as the Property Guru here at YFS, so where did it all begin?
My first job ever was as a concierge in a luxury hotel! It’s probably where my love of all things prestige began, as well as kick-starting my desire to help people. I am passionate about using the property as a vehicle for creating wealth and have spent the last 20+ years dedicated to helping people do just that.
I love being part of the journey. Seeing clients excited about the results they are getting, and knowing you are part of developing and delivering a life-changing strategy never ceases to make me truly happy. It’s a privilege to support people to achieve ‘financial freedom’ so they have options to do what they want, when they want, how they want and where they want!
What values or principles have guided you throughout your career?
Without sounding too cliché… never stop learning. Embrace change, it’s inevitable. Always be true to who you are, don’t pretend to be something you’re not. Listen and build relationships wherever you can.
Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing?
For me, I love travelling with my wife and son. I still have a long list of destinations to visit, even though we have already travelled extensively.
I also enjoy sports. I have played sports all my life, and I enjoy switching off this way, supporting my son with all of his passions too.
The ultimate is when I can combine the two! I am a huge Arsenal fan, so a trip to London to watch them play would tick more than a few boxes for me, as would travelling to watch Wimbledon, the U.S Open, NBA…
