“I was born and raised on the Gold Coast and have lived here my whole life. My grandparents owned an antique shop and a jewellery store here, so I spent a lot of time in and around the heart of the Gold Coast growing up. That early exposure made me feel right at home in a working environment from a young age.
My first ever job was at Subway, but my first professional role was as a junior accountant, and I have stayed in this lane since then, branching out into advice as I learnt more. In my role at YFS I support the advice process by liaising with clients and assisting with strategy implementation – everything from sourcing insurance quotes to coordinating share transactions. I enjoy making sure each step runs smoothly for our clients.
I’ve always been fascinated by financial markets, so much so that I couldn’t wait to turn 18 and open my first brokerage account. I also grew up with a single mum who made a lot of sacrifices to support me financially. Seeing that first-hand made me realise how valuable good financial advice can be, and it’s a big part of what motivates me today. My goal is to one day become a financial adviser myself and help others build a more secure future – whatever that might look like for them.
What I love most about this industry is that the outcomes are tangible. Whether it’s helping someone grow their retirement savings, take a long-awaited family holiday, or purchase their first home or investment property, being part of that journey is incredibly rewarding.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me at the local basketball courts or watching the NBA. I’m a big fan of Nikola Jokić; his game style and work ethic really resonate with me.”
