“I’ve lived in Brisbane my whole life and grew up on the beautiful Redlands Coast. My first job was at a bakery during high school, but my professional journey started at an accounting firm in Cleveland, where I began in admin and eventually moved into accounting and SMSF work.
Today, I work with a range of clients to process tax returns and financial statements for individuals, companies, and trusts. I also support our SMSF team with coding and reporting. I ‘fell’ into accounting after doing well in the subject at school and decided to pursue it at university, and I’m glad I did. After a year living in the UK, I returned to Brisbane and realised that what I really enjoy is the accounting work itself, not just the admin side of things.
What I love most is helping clients improve their financial literacy. It’s really rewarding to explain what the numbers mean and help people feel more confident about their finances. Once they understand their situation clearly, they can make better decisions – and that’s where I feel I add real value.
Outside of work? I’ll admit I’m probably the same as most people! I love reading, hitting the beach, spending time with family and friends, enjoying a cocktail, and getting competitive with card games, sport, or even internet games (all of them, really).”
