“As a young female leader in the accounting profession, my career has been shaped by a deep commitment to driving progress, empowering others, and delivering lasting impact for the businesses and communities I serve. With over 12 years of experience across public practice and industry, I’ve consistently sought out roles that allow me to influence change, lead with purpose, and help others grow. I’ve built a reputation as a dynamic and values-driven accounting professional who brings strong technical capability and leads with empathy and intention.
In my first role in this industry I developed strong technical foundations while mentoring junior team members and developing a passion for leadership. From there, I moved into senior finance roles where I was entrusted with leading complex functions, managing teams, and improving financial operations in multi-entity, fast-paced environments.
Soon, I was promoted to Finance Manager and played a pivotal role in implementing a new payroll system, streamlining reporting processes, and strengthening the team’s capability during a period of growth at the company I worked for. I focused heavily on team development and cross-functional collaboration, working closely with executive stakeholders to improve financial insight and operational efficiency. One of my proudest achievements during this time was being named Leader of the Year, a recognition that reflected my commitment to empowering those around me and helping my team achieve both personal and professional goals.
In 2024 I moved across to Your Future Strategy. As Director of Accounting I advise a diverse client base on tax planning, business structuring, and strategic growth. This opportunity that has allowed me to lead from the front, mentor a talented team of professionals, and foster a workplace culture where people feel supported and valued. My approach to leadership is grounded in the belief that technical knowledge is important, but the ability to inspire, adapt, and uplift others is what truly drives success.
Outside of my corporate roles, I’ve contributed to the not-for-profit sector as Treasurer and board member of the Queensland Private Enterprise Centre (QPEC), using my skills to strengthen financial governance and support local initiatives.
What has shaped my success is a combination of resilience, curiosity, and a drive to consistently deliver value while creating opportunities for others. I’ve never shied away from complex problems—instead, I lean into them, knowing that great leadership means having the courage to challenge the status quo and lift others as you climb. I hope my journey encourages the next generation—especially young women—to believe that they, too, can lead with strength, empathy, and lasting impact in this profession.”
